On our list on http://staroffice-doc.germany.sun.com:8080/Teams/QA/Library/operating_systems/solaris/solarispatches.html we have this patch as 'required'. So I think we should add this to the readme FL->US: IS this (so called Linker-patch) patch really necessary or is it part of a patch we already recommend? We did not mention this patch in current readme. us->of: we should consider to add the patch ID to the README if it is mandatory. But even more important: when we found out that this patch is mandatory, we should also check automatically for its presence in the Setup (as suggested by the submitter). We already do so for all the other mandatory patch ids. us->of: Pls. test if we can not run on Sols7 without this patch. If so, hand this task over to DV and FL. Thank you. Reassigned to OF. Hi Frank, for Solaris Sparc and Intel we have more patches on the CD as we mention in the readme: Solaris Intel readme: * for Solaris 7: 106328-08 missed patch: 106951-xx * for Solaris 8: 108436-01, 108774-12 missed patch: 109148-xx Solaris Sparc readme: * for Solaris 7: 106327-08, 106300-09 (only 64 bit) missed patch: 106950-xx * for Solaris 8: 108434-01, 108773-12, 108435-01 (only 64 bit) missed patch: 109147-xx Please have a look wether we will add this to SO and/or OOo readme. We also should think about the system requirements on the OOo webpages: http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/sys_reqs.html Change target to 1.1 Beta 2 I have added them to the XML readme file, but the transformed txt output of this file will not be displayed in setup today. Setup still uses old static txt readme file. Verified close issue. |
