I cannot reproduce this at the moment. I tried out different Linux
Systems (Redhat 6.2, TurboLinux 6, Mandrake) and OpenOffice didn´t
crash any any of these Systems.
So which Linux distribution do you have? Perhaps that´s the problem.

I run RH 7.0 with updates. There are some RPM's from Rawhide and RH
7.2 on the system too. If you let me know which ones are relevant to
OO, I can give you the versions.

Gents, I noticed the same problem on SuSE 7.3 with OO 641c.
If required, I can send a file too. Interesting, this file works with
SO 5.2

gents,
i reopen this issue as i verified the problem on a second
installation (SuSE 7.3, KDE 2.2.1)

It looks like OO641 has a problem when running on newer Linux systems.
I could now see the problem on a RedHat 7.1. Others reported the same
on SUSE 7.3 or RedHat 7.2. This issue is related to issue #2606, so I
close this one here.

BTW, an older build of 641 (I think this was the first build of it
available to download), works fine. So whatever happened, it did
between releases.
