pub-key for cloph, sent assignment on Dec. 6 2001 per email
accepted; I will forward this to support, to load the key, once I can verify the receipt of the copyright verificaion form. -louis Created a role for user cloph to administer the lang/www/de/doc project. He should be able to add documents, etc. Please let me know if you have problems. Frankly, I pessimistically expect that there might be the need of further fine-tuning your privileges. cheers, and good luck, Louis Hi, seems like tunnel@openoffice.org doesn't know about my public key: [...] debug1: got SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_ACCEPT debug1: authentications that can continue: publickey,password debug1: next auth method to try is publickey debug1: try privkey: /home/cl/.ssh/id_rsa debug1: try pubkey: /home/cl/.ssh/id_dsa debug1: authentications that can continue: publickey,password debug1: next auth method to try is password tunnel@openoffice.org's password: Autehentication with a publickey fails and therefore I'm asked to enter a password (which I don't know, of course). Do I have to wait a few days or is it supposed to work right now? ciao Christian Christian, yes, I was afraid of this. are you entering: "ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org" to establish the tunnel? -louis whoops. Forgot to load this key. Sorry, Christian. wait for one or two days. -louis The request to have your key entered has been filed (pcn6946). I will let you know when this has been completed. Thank you Kat Hi, there are two others that we would like to have access to /doc , what makes more sense, leaving this issue open or filing a new one? The key for Christian has been installed so he should be able to establish a tunnel. I will assign this issue back to Louis to determine if he would like a new issue opened for all users requesting access to this project. If you and Louis decide to keep this issue as a container for this access I am fine with that. Thank you Kat I can now successfully establish the ssh-tunnel and checkout the project's source-code. Unfortunately I cannot commit changes yet: User cloph doesnt have <Add> access to an entry in lang Maybe this is an user error on my side (I don't want to put something in the lang-directory but in the lang/www/de/doc-directory): I first did a cvs checkout lang/www/de/doc and then tried to add a testfile for cvs-newbies using the command cvs add testfile (after changing to the doc-dir) and I got the above error-message (User cloph ...) Hi, user Cloph, you *only* have commit access to "lang/www/de/doc" not "../doc-directory" Of course, other things could be awry. but let's try this, first. Louis and yeah, if this doesn't work, I'll change the perms.... i don't want to change something in the lang-module itself, I just want to alter the lang/www/de/doc module. That's what I did: [cl@bm617259 cvstest]$ cvs checkout lang/www/de/doc cvs server: Updating lang/www/de/doc U lang/www/de/doc/index.html [cl@bm617259 cvstest]$ cd lang/www/de/doc/ [cl@bm617259 doc]$ vi index.html [cl@bm617259 doc]$ cvs status cvs server: Examining . =================================================================== File: index.html Status: Locally Modified Working revision: 1.2 Repository revision: 1.2 /cvs/lang/www/de/doc/index.html,v Sticky Tag: (none) Sticky Date: (none) Sticky Options: (none) [cl@bm617259 doc]$ cvs commit cvs commit: Examining . User cloph doesnt have <Commit> access to an entry in lang cvs [server aborted]: correct above errors first! cvs commit: saving log message in /tmp/cvslRz5Z2 [cl@bm617259 doc]$ So what's wrong here? ciao Christian I was afraid of this. I'll fix. done. You should have commit privileges to lang project now. don't abuse them! :) louis Wow, that was a fix fix :-) Everything works fine now, so I can finally go to bed :-) ciao Christian done Created attachment 831 [details]

public ssh key for harald schilly (mysteron)
Uh, we can't give all these people access without being sure first if they have all submitted to Sun copyright forms, etc. I see no record of that and Max has not communicated to me that these people have in fact submitted their forms. I only know of Christian. Further, we then can only give commit access when expressly required by the module leader. -louis Hi Louis, please give these two access to our files as discussed before: Manfred Reiter fredao@openoffice.org has submitted his copyright-assignment last sunday via fax, Harald Schilly mysteron@openoffice.org has submitted his copyright-assignment last mondy scanned via email to Max. I will ask Max to post this to the Website. A little status-report: The first german FAQ (formula) has been uploaded (being reviewed by the others right now) , the main-FAQ has been translated and will be uploaded later. We've got several highly motivated doc-writers working on several other documents right now. Sure, no problem. sorry for being a stickler; necessary to ensure a semblance of order and security. kat, would you please forward the keys for manfred and harald to ops? thanks Louis Hi, I have entered pcn7044 with our operations department to have Harald and Manfred's keys added for access. Thank you Kat Both Harald and Manfred's keys have been added to the server. They may now access cvs through a tunnel. Please let me know if there are any problems. Leaving this issue open for Louis to close as need be. Thank you Kat ssh login works fine, thanks Hi, Granted both Manfred and Harald developer access to Lang Project. As for all, this is a precious privilege, don't abuse it more than you have to. ;) louis PS let us know if any difficulties, either me or kat or both ssh and cvs is working now, all fine, thanks Johannes Czerwinski <johannes.czerwinski@gmx.de>, <jcz@teamstaroffice.org> will attach his key shortly. He has submitted his signed copyright-assignment-form last Sunday. Please give him access as dicussed before. Thanks! will do. -louis Created attachment 842 [details]
Public key for user Johannes
I will give Johannes the permissions by Friday. -louis Request pcn7093 has been entered with our Ops department to have Johannes' public key entered. I will let you know when this has been completed. Thank you Kat Hi Johannes, Your public key has been added to the server and you should now be able to tunnel to the server. Please let me know if you have any problems. Thank you Kat added johannes to lang project as developer. privileges available immediately. -louis Created attachment 858 [details]
pubic key by Andreas Hausmann
Hi Kat, Louis, please give Andreas Hausmann <Andreas@openoffice.org> access to our repository. His name is already listed on http://www.openoffice.org/copyright/copyrightapproved.html Regards, Timon Hi, A request has been entered with our Operations department to add Andreas' key for access (pcn7173). I will let you know when this has been completed. Thank you Kat Hi, Andreas' key has been added to the tunnel file. If there are any problems with access please let us know. Thank you Kat will give him privileges once Max lets me know form went through. Timon: would you want stat a new issue for each new committer? My reason: we have here about 6 or so attachments that are circulated each time this issue is reopened. -louis Hi Louis, he's listed on http://www.openoffice.org/copyright/copyrightapproved.html , doesn't this mean his form has been received? Concerning opening a new issue for each new commtter: Sure, I can do it, but I'm not sure whether I understand you argument: If you mean the CC's- I think it's a good Idea to let the other commiters know automatically who else is going to be among them soon. If you really meant attachments, what do you mean by "re circulated each time this issue is reopened" ? I don't get any attachments- is this an internal collab.net-issue? Thank you Louis, Kat! Timon Hi, timon, I see now; my browser was feeding me an old page. Apologies. my only argument is that the *attachments* are resent in the IZ. but really, it's not a big deal at all, and it makes no difference to me. louis gave andreas developer privileges to lang project /de. cheers, Louis Hi Kat, Louis, Rene Engelhard <mail@rene-engelhard.de> will attach his public key shortly. He has already written a document on participating at OOo and will translate the whiteboard/doc - faq on impress. He sent his copyright-assigntment-form to Max on January 7th, 2001, 01:55:11 AM CET, scanned using email. Please upload his key and give him the necessary priveleges. Thank you! Timon Created attachment 931 [details]
public key by Rene Engelhard
kat (or Mike): would you send on Rene's key to Ops for loading? he is listed on the copyright approved page. -louis Hi, Rene's key has been added to the tunnel file on the server via pcn7495. He should now have access to the server. Please let us know if there are any problems. Thank you Kat granted rene developer privileges. He is now a lang mensch. :) -louis Thank you Kat, Louis (Mike)! Working with you IS fun :-) Two our our "already taken care of"- contributors are going to attach new keys actually, I hope exchanging them for the one currently on the server will not be too anoying, privileges do not have to be modified... BTW- Have you looked at lang/de lately? http://lang.openoffice.org/de/dev/todo.html At the different docus marked as "published" = "veröffentlicht" and already linked from there for easy proofreading? The tunnel and authentification at the CVS-Server works fine. But I don't have write access: <-- SNIP --> cvs login (Logging in to johannes@localhost) *****CVS exited normally with code 0***** cvs checkout -P lang/www/de (in directory C:\OpenOffice-CVS) cvs server: Updating lang/www/de U lang/www/de/README_de_DE.txt U lang/www/de/about-cdrom.html [...] U lang/www/de/images/spacer.gif *****CVS exited normally with code 0***** cvs add issuezilla_einführung.html (in directory C:\OpenOffice-CVS\lang\www\de\doc\) User johannes doesnt have <Add> access to project lang *****CVS exited normally with code 1***** cvs commit -m "Den Eintrag bei IssueZilla-Einführung leicht verändert (Test)" todo.html (in directory C:\OpenOffice-CVS\lang\www\de\dev\) User johannes doesnt have <Commit> access to project lang cvs [server aborted]: correct above errors first! *****CVS exited normally with code 1***** <-- SNIP --> I'm using WinCVS 1.2 and Cygwin for the SSH-Tunnel. The status, which is displayed on my personal start page is still "observer". What's wrong? Hola Louis, did you activate my new generated pub-key, i send you on 2002-01-12 06:54 PST ------- thanks a lot Manfredo Hi, Keep in mind that I have much to do and that I respond as I have time. I have now added your names and changed your privileges. You should have access now. Louis Hi Louis! Thanks, eyerybody is working fine now. Johannes Created attachment 947 [details]
new public key for Marco Huggenberger
taska User Huggi (marco huggenberger) needs to have his key loaded by ops. He has filed the correct papers with sun and is entitled to developer commit access. thanks louis hint: protocol: you send along the attachment to ops. they load it; then signal here, keeping this issue alive unto perpetuity. lsp Created attachment 957 [details]
2. public key by Andreas
Okay, I'll send this along as soon as I'm able. Accepting. I've passed this on to the operations team (PCN7692), and I'll update as soon as I hear from them. This is done. Please verify. I think marking "Resolved" is the appropriate thing to do here. Taska, this isssue is a continuing one and is used by Timon to add more key members to his fine pantheon of German scholars. So, it will be reopened as new members become key. louis Marco reports: Hmm, still got that "Permission denied (publickey,password)." But I'm not sure my password is correct, so according to that, I'll send you a new public-key. (Marco, et al: please reopen an issue and update it if you need to gain my attention again with respect to an issue. I get hundreds of issue updates a day, and an email to the issues mailing list is highly likely to get lost.) I'll add his attachment. Created attachment 985 [details]
Public key for Marco Huggenberger
Hi, Manfred Reiter cannot establish a SSH2-Tunnel using his own key. I personally tested his System/Softare-Konfiguration and, using my own Key, was able to connect from his Machine without problems. Therefore I believe that his new public key (the second one he submittet) is not on the server. Please upload his new key. Regards, Timon Looking at the tunnel file, it does appear that the live key for Manfred is the old one. I've submitted the change request to the operations group. Okay, our operations department reports this done. Hi Louis, unfortunately my CVS dosn't work. Here what im doing: I'm working with Linux. 1. I'm logged in as manfred 2. I am working in the directory /home/manfred 3. there are existing the following directories ./ssh with the public and the privat key (the public-key i send to you via Issuezilla) /cvsdir 4. Then I in write in the X-Terminal to open the tunnel ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org 5. The answer ist: tunnel@openoffice.org's password: Timon says, that this is not normal. >:-( What can I do? [] Create a new keys? [] send the new public key? [] [] Saludos Manfred Manfred, My guess is that there is a mismatch between your pub key and the one we loaded. Taska: did we load Manfred's latest key? it might behooves us to start all over again. that is, manfred: send us a new key. louis Created attachment 1021 [details]
key from Manfred (fredao)
Hi Taska, has Manfred's latest key been loaded? He's one of our most active contributors :-) Regards, Timon Hi Timon- sorry, I was so focused on Nick's request (issue 2982) and Edward's request (forwarded to me via email from Louis) that I didn't realize that this was a separate request. It would help if everyone consistently put their requests here instead of in all sorts of places! :) I've got a new internal issue- PCN8044. Created attachment 1030 [details]
public key - Manfred Reiter - last try
timon@superlinux:~/tmp> md5sum man* 92b634969d6fba762c8bfe58ae14957c manfred-1.pub 9d788a9d338b586b22f1ea6b02ae54de manfred0.pub 9d788a9d338b586b22f1ea6b02ae54de manfred1.pub 9d788a9d338b586b22f1ea6b02ae54de manfred2.pub timon@superlinux:~/tmp> Hi Manfred- the last _three_ pubkeys you sent are identical. ??? Taska: Do you know an easy way for Manfred to check locally if his secret and public key match? What do you propose? I think in this case I would delete/rename the whole .ssh directory an generate a new keypair. What do you propose? Timon Timon- good question. I think louis has some experience with this. I'll ask him. Timon, It is easier for him to generate a new key and submit it to this issue. We will then load it. Apology for the confusion, and regret for the lost time. (almost an epitaph) Cheers, Louis Created attachment 1033 [details]
key for Manfred - please - activate the key asap please
Thanks Manfred. I've submitted this request to the operations team. Operations team reports this done. Please verify! Thanks. Hi Taska finaly - CVS - all works fine - thanks a lot Taska, Timon, Christian thanks Manfred Hi, everything works nicely, exept: Andreas Hausmann can't access the repository. He has never been able to establish a connection, but we didn't pursue this up to now because other things seemed more urgent at the time. This issue might have come into existance like the on with Manfred. Andreas, too, had submitted a second key to replace the first, which seems to have gone wrong, too. What do you propose? Same thing that worked in Manfreds case, which is starting over with a completely new key? Thank you for your patience! Hi, Before we go anywhere, let's see if A's key was really loaded... Taska, do you want to check? Second, if it was.... 1. Can andreas tunnel at all? to another site? 2. what are the error messages? 3. Try this, instead of tunneling to OpenOffice.org (name): ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@64.125.132.236 That's using the IP no. 4. If he does have the key loaded, and still cannot tunnel... hmm. What operating system, what set up is he using? if linux, beats me. Linux *works.* if windoze, gee, anything could be going on. cheers, Louis I traced the old internal issues back through Jan. 2, and discovered that though the operations team verified my request complete on 1/23, the key in the database is still the old key, not the new one. I've re-opened the internal issue with a new request to replace the old key with the new one. The operations group says that Andreas H's new key has now been added. Created attachment 1556 [details]
3rd key for me because i can´t find my earlier ones. Please allow me writing access.
Andreas, you left this issue closed. Do you want to reopen it then? if so, do, and assign to support@openoffice.org. Louis Hi, please load Andreas latest (3rd) and hopefully final key. Thank you for your patience! Timon Timon, Unfortunately Andreas's key appears to be an RSA key. He needs to submit a DSA key, like the last two keys (beginning with ssh-dss), in order for us to upload it. I'm reassigning to Andreas. Please exchange my key as well. I can't find any backup with my old key :-( I'll attach the new pub-key for cloph Thanks in advance Christian Created attachment 1608 [details]
2nd key for cloph (I promise that i'll keep my backups up to date in future)
Created attachment 1612 [details]
Hope, this one will give me access to CVS
hope my new key openoffice1a.pub will solve all my earlier problems so i get access to CVS. Have done this as Timon told me. Ciao Andreas :-) Reassingning to support. Thanks Christian, Andreas. They look fine. I've passed them on to our operations folks. Operations reports that they have uploaded the keys. Please verify that you are able to connect. Thanks. Hi Taska, that was fast :-) my (cloph's) key is working.. Thanks again (my key is now stored on three different floppies. Hi, just wanted to mention, that I´m now able to establish a tunnel with my 3rd key. Everything looks fine. In the afternoon I will try to get CVS access... Thank you very much for your enourmous patience !!!! Ciao Andreas :-) Since everything works this issue can be closed. Thanks again. Created attachment 1761 [details]
public key martin webermann
reopening to assign assigning to Louis for approval Hi Kat, Louis, please give Martin Webermann the "Developer" Role and CVS-Commit access to lang. He has helped quite a few times before and I would like him to have the priviledges to do so directly in the future. He has submitted a copyright assignement form and is already listed on http://www.openoffice.org/copyright/copyrightapproved.html Gruß, Timon P.S. Martin: I CCed this issue to you so you are informed directly about what is going on. Created attachment 1767 [details]
public key by Helga Fischer (Azula)
Hi Kat, Louis, what I just posted concerning Martin applies for Helga, too: Please give Helga Fischer the "Developer" Role and CVS-Commit access to lang. She has been helping quite a while now and I would like her to have the priviledges listed above. She is already listed on the copyrightapproved-page and will be the first woman from Germany to gain CVS-Access to lang- lang/fr was ahead on that front, but now we caught up :-) Gruß, Timon P.S. Martin: I CCed this issue to you so you are informed directly about what is going on. Forgot to change the P.S.- of course this was supposed to read "Helga- I CCed this issue to you so you can follow the process yourself." You, as all others, can of course "unCC" yourself anytime you do not which to receive the IZ messages about this issue anymore. Sorry for posting twice. Hi Sorry for delay; reassigning to support. Kat, please ask Ops to upload this key. thanks Louis Timon I cannot add Helga to developer role b/c the site is having issues. I'll let you know when I can. sorry louis Hi, Your keys have been added to the tunnel and you should now be able to access cvs. Please let us know if there are any problems. Reassigning to Louis for any remaining issues. Thank you Kat Hi Kathy, thank you, the tunnel works. But it isn't possible for me to commit any file, I get this message: 'commit requires write access to the repository' Martin Hi Martin! I think you use the wrong settings for the cvs-access. You have to use other settings than for the anonym access. Please use the discuss_de-mailinglist to get more informations --- Ich denke, dass du die falschen Einstellungen für den CVS-Zugriff verwendest. Du musst andere Einstellungen als für den anonymen Zugriff verwenden. Auf der discuss_de-Mailingliste bekommst du mehr Informationen. Regards, Johannes Hi *, Kat: Thnak you! Martin, Helga: Your keys have been loaded, meaning you should be abkle to establish the ssh2-tunnel, but commit-access as such has not yet been grantet, as it is not done by collab.net ops (e.g. Kat) but Louis, because he is the lang-project-owner and lang/de is (still) a subproject of lang. Louis will let you (us) know when he has given you commit-acess. Gruß, Timon Helga and Martin will have to be invited; I cannot just add them. It will take now some time. louis ? Meaning you have invited them? To do what, to join the project? At least Helga tried to do this before, I'm not sure what came of it. Timon Hi I haven't added you nor Helga; I must invite you. You must then go to the site... very complicated. There is an issue out on this problem. louis Hi helga tried to join and did as an observer; as did Martin. But Stefan and I agreed to limit the options of users coming to projects so that they could only opt for "observer" status. Thus, to allow her and Martin to join as developers, I must change that for them. But I don't want all to have that option. it is a pain. Not of their causing; the site is just too busy for all those using it. louis Hi Louis, since a few days I have a problem to checkout from lang/de When I start the checkout, I receive the following messages: manfred@mmmm11:~> cvs checkout lang/www/de Fatal error, aborting. fredao: no such user Do you know the reason - what I'm doing wrong? I changed _absolutly_ nothing - neither in my home-dir nor the way of checkout, as i did it before. Thanks Manfred Created attachment 2005 [details]
DSA public key for Rene Engelhard
Manfred: regarding your issue: beats me. Kat may have some insight but I suspect it was gremlins. Rene: will add your key (again). Is this a different key? You do not need a new key for the new de project. Kat: please ask Ops to add Rene's key. thanks Timon: maybe we should start a new issue for de/? we can refer to this issue in the new one. -louis Hi Louis, yes, this is a new key because I lost my old one... Rene Rene's key has been entered with ops as pcn10195. I will let you know when it has been added. Manfred - if you are still having the problem could you attach verbose (debugging) output of the session? Thank you Kat Rene, your key has been added to the server and you should now be able to access cvs. Please let us know if you have any problems. I'm keeping the issue open and reassigning to Louis in case Manfred is still having problems with access. Adding myself to the cc. Thank you Kat! This issue is quite full. As Louis asked I opened a new issue, namely 5988, to replace this one. I CCed Kat, Louis and Manfred, anybody else please CC yourself if interested. I'm resolving this as duplicate of 5988. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 5988 *** closing issue. corresponding with Manfred via email. Created attachment 8489 [details]
