Description sforbes 2003-12-10 18:47:14 UTC
A file from MS excel has titles which are made of Hebrew vertical text.
When opened in calc, the vertical Hebrew is gone (althugh non-Hebrew characters
remain).

corection: the text is not lost, but moved down, where it overlaps the rest of
the text on the page, making it unreadble.

Because of limited resources for OOo1.1.2 we decided to shift this task to OOo2.0.

just wondering- has anything happened with this?
Comment 11 alan 2006-10-22 16:15:17 UTC
For me, the vertical text in the sample file is displayed correctly both in
2.0.3 and 2.0.4. I tested on Windows.

This issue has the status "Started", but to me it looks like it's fixed. Is
there more work to be done here that I don't know about?
Comment 13 hdu@apache.org 2007-04-23 07:56:41 UTC
@ayaninger: that's good news, thanks. The issue was probably accidentially fixed
(maybe even somewhere in the Excel import filter?). If you can confirm that it
works on Windows and at least on one Unix platform, where this problem happened
before, then we should mark this issue as resolved (WORKSFORME).
Comment 14 alan 2007-04-23 08:22:14 UTC
I can confirm that it works on Windows and on Debian Linux.
Comment 15 hdu@apache.org 2007-04-23 08:25:52 UTC
Great, so the issue is ready for closing.
