hello fabienst, as in the issue 19402 this is due a database concept. just think of having a dadabase of 2 terrabyte of data. so if you select the table only the data will be selected that has been read till then. if you click on the upper left button after you went to the last record all data will be selected. to print all record just select the all records radiobutton in the mail merge dialog. this will be the easyest way to print all the records. so i'set this to invalid and close it invalid -> closed Ok, maybe it doesn't really select all (in the dataviwer when clicking the button), but what I expect is that all are printed. So when I click on the upper left corner, I expect all records to be merged and the button "all records" to be selected instead of the "only selected" That would then be a request for an enhancement So i reopened the issue (if I'm not supposed to do so, tell me) I agree to fabienst here: When the user selects the upper left corner of the table, it should behave as if the whole table was selected, *not* as if only the know-so-far records were selected. I think this is what users expect. If somebody can confirm this issue (I currently can't), please assign it to oj@openoffice.org. ok for that, after talking to os and fs i reassigned this to oj. oliver told me, clicking on the upper left button should be treated as a different event as selecting single or multiple entrys. for now selecting record in the dialog automatically selects "Selected record" in the record "panel". clicking on the upper left button should be treated like selecting the "ALL" radiobutton in the Record "panel" reassigned to oj set status to new set target to OOo2.0 Hi, according to http://development.openoffice.org/releases/Target_Milestone.html retarget to OOo_Later Bye Marc |
