seems to be a linux only problem - worksforme with OOo 1.1 beta 2, 1.1 RC on Windows 2000. unable to reproduce with OOo 1.1beta2 on linux (debian woody) unable to reproduce with OOo 1.1rc2 on linux (debian woody) @Cyprien: Could you provide a sample document? A sample document is not needed. There were problems with the openSymbol font provided with OO 1.1 Beta. This should be solved already with OO 1.1 rc2. Have a look at issue #12557. Hello, in the formula editor, choosing tilde and then typing a letter (or a group of letters in {}) gives a tilde at mid-height, ie within the letter itself. tilde C tilde {C} tilde{C} etc Everything gives a tilde at mid-height, that's a convenient way to obtain a Euro character !-) The same is true for other subscripts (for instance hat).
