Description Unknown 2001-09-28 21:20:00 UTC
In the component registration phase of the installation, a popup appeared with a
message along the lines of "liblexps638li.so component unable to be
registered"... hitting Retry caused the popup to reappear, hitting Ignore caused
the popup to go away and the installation finished and claimed to be successful.

When I try to run OpenOffice, after the splash screen there is a popup which
states: An unrecoverable error has occured. All modified files have been saved
and can probably be recovered at program restart.

When I run setup and try to repair, the setup window suddenly disappears and
reports "Aborted" in the terminal window.

This is an initial attempt at installing OpenOffice on RedHat Linux 7.1.

This is due to libstdc++ naming differences between RedHat
and the Build Linux system. You can use ldd in program/ to
identify the name of libstdc++ desired by the code (and use a
symlink to create it).

The good news is that with OO638C, a different spell checker is
used so this problem will no longer happen.

This should be closed as fixed under OO638C
