Hello OpenOffice-Team,

I have a problem with the word processing program. Every time I insert a graphic
from a scanner the writer crashÂ´s down immediantly after the scanning ends and
the word tool is saving the graphic. I have installed the latest scanning
software from hp. I use a AMD Athlon XP 1800+ and 256 MB Ram. The operating
system is Windows XP Professional + SP1. My scanner is a Hewlett Packard ScanJet
3400C (i use USB). Help me please.

I made several tests with an "ALDI-LIFETEC"- scanner on parallel port
without any problems for 1.0.3 german version WIN98SE.

I've successfully used a USB scanner on XP with OOo1.1beta2.

I'm going to mark this 'works for me'.  If you find the error
still occuring with OpenOffice 1.1 beta2 or later, please
re-open this issue.   Thanks!

I'm reopening this issue as the problem also appears in 1.1 RC1 Linux
with a HP G85 scanner.

Hi Alex,
1. can you reproduce with OpenOffice.org1.1.0rc4?
2. Have you sent in a crash log?
3. Can you paste in a bit of the crash log here
(say, the first ten function names and offsets)?
