Description dmm89 2003-05-24 16:46:47 UTC
Cell background colors, as set in cell formatting, are ignored (in favour of
the OpenOffice document background color) if the Windows window background
color is dark (as set in Display Properties | Appearance | Advanced in XP).
By experiment "dark" seems to mean any color with components darker than RGB =
{39, 39, 39}.

This problem will therefore affect users whose Windows colors are chosen for
light text on a dark background.

I think this is the same as issue 13521 (which I do not seem to be able to
reopen). The "high contrast" accessibility option sets the window background
colour to black, hence its implication in that issue.

Hi Bettina,

I think it's a problem that should be solved by your group.

FT->FST: This is a bug not an enhancement

Hi,

it seems to be fixed with the settings under tools options accessibility
'Automatically detect high contrast miode of operating system'. Switch it of and
it should works as you expect.

*Genuinely* a feature, not a bug! Apologies for the operator error.
