Pachetul implementează ortografia contemporană cu â din a. Dicţionarele clasice cu î din i pot fi găsite la: http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/dictionaries-ro-classi...


Notă: Pentru ca OpenOffice.org să funcţioneze corect, este nevoie de suport pentru caracterele diacritice româneşti în sistemul de operare. Un număr din ce în ce mai mare de sisteme de operare au suportul necesar, de exemplu Fedora Linux, MacOS, Windows Vista.

În Windows XP, instalarea acestui suport constă într-o actualizare de fonturi (rulând Microsoft EUUpdate http://download.microsoft.com/download/a/1/8/a180e21e-9c2b-4b54-9c32-bf7... ), şi o setare de tastatură (se sugerează driverul acesta: http://www.secarica.ro/html/ro_kbd_winxp.html). Corectorul ortografic foloseşte caracterele commabelow (virgulițe) generate de layout-urile standard de tastatură. Caracterele sedila nu sunt suportate de corector.
