Mailing lists still have problems with some mail domain
Last modified: 2008-05-18 00:03:25 UTC
Hi, We have still problems on our mailing list. People continue referring me that they can't contact me at my address ddozza@openoffice.org. Moreover I can't moderate message because I still receive a "Delivery Status Notification" when I approve some (not all) messages. It seems like fastwebnet.it is black listed, but it shouldn't. --------------------------------------------------------------- - These recipients of your message have been processed by the mail server: management-accept-1149022781.4962.abbjfccichkmnaplejhk@it.openoffice.org; Failed; 5.1.2 (bad destination system address) Remote MTA cylon1.sjc.collab.net: network error - SMTP protocol diagnostic: 554 cylon1.sjc.collab.net Reporting-MTA: dns; aa002msg.fastwebnet.it Received-from-MTA: dns; ms004msg.fastwebnet.it (10.31.40.142) Arrival-Date: Thu, 1 Jun 2006 10:32:47 +0200 Final-Recipient: rfc822; management-accept-1149022781.4962.abbjfccichkmnaplejhk@it.openoffice.org Action: Failed Status: 5.1.2 (bad destination system address) Remote-MTA: dns; cylon1.sjc.collab.net Subject: Re: MODERATE for management@it.openoffice.orgFrom: Davide Dozza <davide@flossconsulting.it>Date: Thu, 01 Jun 2006 10:30:16 +0200To: management-accept-1149022781.4962.abbjfccichkmnaplejhk@it.openoffice.org ********* *BEGIN ENCRYPTED or SIGNED PART* ********* management-reject-1149022781.4962.abbjfccichkmnaplejhk@it.openoffice.org wrote: > > The enclosed message was submitted to the management@it.openoffice.org > > mailing list. Hi fastwebnet.it is on the whitelist for Oo (ie. mails sent from tht domain are not spam). On the header below i see <<snip management-accept-1149022781.4962.abbjfccichkmnaplejhk@it.openoffice.org; Failed; 5.1.2 (bad destination system address) Remote MTA cylon1.sjc.collab.net: network error snip>> this may be due to the source not resolving cylon1.sjc.collab.net, things look fine from our end. Regards, Karthik Support Operations
Hi Davide, the only way to track down the problem is to have the full header of the rejected messages. At least that helped with a similar issue. Please let people who's messages reproducibly don't make it to the site cc the address mailtest at ooo.services.openoffice.org
Hi Davide,do you have any comments on this issue? Regards, Karthik Support Operations
Hi Do we have any updates in this issue.....? Thanks, Karthik Support Operations
Without help we are not able to track down the problem. Feel free to reopen as soon the address mailtest at ooo.services.openoffice.org received a copy of the bounced message.
