Description issues@www 2001-05-29 21:47:51 UTC
Hi, the following issue is reproducible on my machine:

1) Open a new Writer-Document

2) paste the following lines into the document, highlight it and select
Insert|Object|Formula
[begin]
M(Mg)=24,305 g over mol ; M(P)=30,974 g over mol ; newline
n(P)=2 cdot {{m(Mg_{2}P_{2}O_{7})} over {M(Mg_{2}P_{2}O_{7})}}
[end]

3) Try to save the docment in writer6.0-format. OOo fails with the following
error-message:
Error saving file <nameOfFile>:
Write Error.
Error writing file .
                  ^ OOo plenks :-)

This also happens when trying to save an .sdw-File from SO5.2 which contais that
formula in writer6.0 format.
ciao
Christian

Reassigned to Michael.
Comment 2 michael.ruess 2001-07-02 16:44:28 UTC
MRU->MIB: I could only reproduce this in an OpenOffice (627 & 632) on Linux.
When taking this formula the described error message appears. When I try this
with another formula (e.g. "int from a to b c") it is possible to save the
document but loading results in a crash.

Michael, could you please check whether the formula can be stored in Math
itself, this is if it isn't embedded as OLE object.

If this is not the case (i.e. if the formula cannot be stored in Math itself),
please reassign the bug to Coalon McNamara. Otherwise please send the bug back
to me.

MRU->CMC: yeah, MIB had the right thought. When creating this formula in
OpenOffice Math standalone, it is not possible to save the Math-document.
When creating the described formula in an src633n and try to load it in an
OpenOffice 632, the OpenOffice crashes, while it is no problen to load this
again with a src633.

An earlier known issues with brackets under X (were polygon nodes not math nodes
as under windows). Working in 638d
Comment 6 michael.ruess 2001-08-29 12:48:53 UTC
Works in 638.
Comment 7 michael.ruess 2001-08-29 12:50:06 UTC
Works now fine -> Issue closed.
