Is it really not possible to simply turn images in Writer? (Even the unintuitive
"Position and Size"-Entry is disabled)

Duplicate to issue 3545.

Workaround: Insert picture in Draw. Copy it to clipboard and paste it in Writer
as "Drawing format". Then you can rotate it in Writer as you are used in Draw.
