Build 643C on Windows 2000

Open a type sxm document, the characters are sorrupt

Everything is fine in the attached file.

Did you reboot after the initial installation?
Sometimes the font is not registered correctly and the problem 
vanishes after rebooting.

Since I heard nothing new about this issue I assume the problem got 
fixed by rebooting.

I also tested it with 643C install on a Windows 2000 system.
Robert must have a corrupt OpenSymbol font on his system.
Delete the font manually and do a repair install of OO, then it should
work.
