Thank you for using and supporting OOo. Could you please list more details about your system? Which version of Linux are you running. What do you mean by distributed OOo version? Did you try install 1.0.1 English on your system? What type of install procedure did you follow? Does your system meet the minimal install requirements listed in the readme.txt file? Reassigning to the install group. I think this is the right group. Trying it on Linux 2.14.18-xfs-1.1 Both the english binary and the localised italian binary give the problem (signal 6 on startup, after the splash screen). Installed with root in -net mode, then installed as a ordinary user from that. Rolling back to glibc-2.2.5 everything works correctly. Seems a binary incompatibily issue with libc-2.3.1 or something (libc-2.3.0 doesn't work either) As far as I can see, glibc-2.3.1 wasn't out when OOo 1.0.1 has been released, so we couldn't test this. I don't see it also as an OOo issue when a new glibc is incompatible to older versions. We resolved this as a problem of the early glibc 2.3.1. The last build we have tested was from mandrake and OOo works fine. |
