John, thank you for using and supporting OOo. Could you please attach the file you were trying to export from Writer? Could you also list step by step procedures on how to reproduce this error? Created attachment 3448 [details]
Zip File containing bad file and linked images.
I have attached a ZIP file with the file that caused the problem along with the images that are linked into it. It is actually designed to be a Web page. I then tried to reproduced the crash, and only got to crash when Exporting as PDF. Perhaps that's what happened. This last crash was also recorded by BugToaster. [The file in question also creates another issue I have logged - updating the TOC causes 1.0.1 and 643 to crash.] Procedure: - Load the file "Framed Version started 21-Aug-2002.sxw" - Export to PDF ==> Crash - Restart, don't restore - Load file again - Save As - Flat XML ==> Okay - Save As XHML ==> okay I run Windows 98 with jre 1.4.1 and can confirm that when you try to save the file as a PDF 643 crashes. The file however was successfully saved although there were some errors opening the .pdf file and it did not display correctly. I notice that there are some animated graphics in the document - could these be causing the issue? I am unable to verify the .xml problem as I do not seem to have a .xml option in my save as box. Save as html works without a flaw however. I could not repeat this on Linux with OpenOffice1.1beta, if that's of any interest. Closing this issue for now John. If the problem still exists in 1.1 release, feel free to reopen this issue. . |
