Description jjmckenzie 2007-07-09 00:38:11 UTC
When running testtool and running OpenOffice 2.2.1 tests, the Aqua version was
selected instead. This may be due to the Aqua version appearing as 2.2.1 or
even 2.2 instead of 2.3. However, a look at the info.plist shows that the
program is identifying itself as OpenOffice.org 2.3.0. However, the
bundleSignature appears to be OOo2 and I think the Aqua version should be
different. The version for 2.2.1 appears to be OpenOffice.org 2.2 and the
CFBundleSignature is OOo2. This may be confusing testtool when it goes to look
for the program and is picking the Aqua version vice the X11 2.2.1 version. Any
ideas on how to further troubleshoot and isolate this problem would be
appreciated as this breaks automated testing on my system.

I'm thinking that testtool only launches ooo by the path and filename. A single property. Thus these other
things that you mention, probably don't have any effect. Have you installed ooo aqua into the applications
folder overwriting ooo X11, without realising?

@smsm1: No, the Aqua version was installed as OpenOffice.org 2.3. The
directory being called by testtool from the non-admin user was
/Applications/OpenOffice.org 2.2.app/Contents/MacOS. This directory changed to
/Applications/OpenOffice.org 2.2.app/Contents/MacOS/program. I did not change
this setting.
