Description kami911 2006-09-26 06:09:00 UTC
Hi!
MS Office open command is faster than OOo open. I see a significant difference
between the style of loading...
OOo (for examle in Writer) does not show anything until it finished the all
opening process.
MSO (for example in Word) shows the already loaded page. So during the opening
process it shows an editable document that increasing in number of page. Can we
do same method that is configurable from settings, or our facility is not able
to open files this way?

Some big zipped Word documents for testing. You can use it to tweak the load
times...

Hey guys,

This issue has been slipping for ages.

Performance improvements are planned for the future OOo versions. Asynchronous
load and save procedures are parts of this. So please stay tuned.
