The current process of File > Export to html allows the user to specify a name
in the file selection dialog. However, unless the user knows ahead of time to
create a new directory and navigate there before confirming, the exported files
(dozens for a typical presentation) are created in an existing directory,
alongside existing files. This is unexpected, and removing the many files with
cryptic names is tricky and carries a significant risk of deleting unrelated files.

Instead, the name provided by the user should be the name of a new directory,
and the exported files created under that directory.

This is what PPT (2k) does.

Export to images (enhancement issue 63687) should work the same way.

PS the message "The local target directory ... is not empty. Some files might be overwritten. Do you want to continue?" is not very helpful.
