I use Debian/SID Linux, Gnome (no KDE), xfs and xfs-tt. Screen font anti-alias works
for some fonts, let's say 4 out of 20, and it changes on every reload of OO. There
are various fonts in user/fonts, including ttf and type1. I get "most" anti-aliased
fonts when I remove fonts.dir, and let OO autocreate it; at the next start I get
definitely less anti-aliasing than before.

There's a "before" (start without fonts.dir) and "after" (second start) pic on URL,
if you care. I don't know what results anti-aliased fonts at all, but seems OO
doesn't use any of the X11 provided font sources (xfs/xfs-tt).
