Writer crashes importing a msword doc file under Debian woody GNU/Linux kernel
ver. 2.4.17. The same file is imported correctly under win32 version of Writer.
Not tested under other Linuxes.
Word doc is available at the above url.

Thanks for the update aCaB.

I am unable to open the file in Word 2000 or OO 1.0.1.

Unable to duplicate on Win NT 4.0, OO 1.0.1.

Are you sure you didn't ftp this file in ascii mode or something like
that ? Its indeed not openable by word itself and seems mangled badly.

aCaB, I tried opening the new upload as well as the copy of the file
from your ftp server.

I could not open either document using OO 1.0.1 or Word 2000.

Can you please confirm that you can open up the document you are
posting?
