moved to component wordprocessor. Ronald, please update the issue with the info, which version you used. Ronald, does this problem still exist in OOo 1.0.1? If so, please list the steps required to reproduce your issue consistently. Please ensure you OOo installation was a multi-user install. Thank you for using and supporting OOo. Using 1.0.1, I can save a text file as an rtf. I can also save a presentation via export to HTML. However I can no longer save a text file as HTML like I used to do using beta 638 build. Something has broken between 638 and 1.0.1. Sorry should have also said ... The 638 install was a single user install from the root account. I wonder if that is significant. The 1.0.1 install is multi-user and the saving and crashing is when running from my 'normal' account, not root. I have not tested for the problem with 1.0.1 using root. The crash is preceeded with a dialog box stating that OO has an unrecoverable error. When I restart OO it recovers the file OK. Another thought: just in case it might be significant: the 638 beta, that worked OK, was under RedHat 7.1, whereas 1.0.1 is under RedHat 7.3. Sorry about the three entries here - I am thinking (badly) on the run. David, could you please list step by step instructions on how to consistently reproduce your problem? I think this is an installation problem. Reassigned to Olaf. Can't reproduce with any file format. OOo saves however I want. Fixed. |
