Description windl 2004-09-28 07:12:58 UTC
I've found a bug that makes transition form StarOffice 5.2 to OpenOffice 1.1 hard:
The same document being loaded results in different text formatting.
Specifically, one format named "table heading" shows different properties in
StarOffice 5.2 and OpenOffice 1.1 (the document was created and saved using
StarOffice 5.2). In StarOffice the text font (style) being used is "Roman",
while in OpenOffice it's "Italic". I don't know why. The change is visible
directly in the stylist's format properties.

MRU->DVO: In 680m5x opening the attached .sdw leads to a crash. I think this can
be fixed together with the fact, that the typeface of the paragraph style "Table
heading" is imported "Bold italic" instead of "Bold".

dvo->fs: Please have a look at this. Thanks.

working on it
Comment 8 Frank Schönheit 2004-10-13 11:34:38 UTC
The crash has already been fixed in the course of issue 32750 by os.
After incorporating the fix for this crash, the document is imported as expected
- that is, the table heading style is "Bold", and not "Italic". So this is a
WORKSFORME.

windl, I suggest you add yourself to the CC list of issue 32750, and when it's
fixed and integrated into the master, you should verify your original document
against the version which is then released. Thanks.
