Joost: usually an X application always crashes if it gets in contact with broken fonts...just as a hint... Maybe you're working with a Linux distro using one of these XFree 4.1.0 with buggy libxrender (I would update this one) SDuVal 3/6/02: Problem appeared for me after installing TrueType fonts (symlinks to usr/share/fonts/ttf) in the openoffice/share/fonts/truetype dir. The anti-aliasing looks GREAT. Unfortunately, the bug freezes the entire KDE desktop and requires hard boot. Why doesn't the writer use the system shared fonts? Reassigned to Ulf. OOo 1.0.1 has been released. If the problem still exists in OOo 1.0.1, please post a new issue with step by step instructions on how to reproduce this issue. Consider reading the font FAQ: http://www.openoffice.org/FAQs/fontguide.html Closing As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified. As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. |
