I'm not sure exactly what is wrong but here is a document that contains only one
table that oowriter is not able to render very well at all.

This is not an import issue. Writer's table handling is not able to display this
better. Due to the cell adressing system it is not possible to merge cells in
the way Word does.  Can be seen, when e.g. trying to merge the 3rd and 4th cell
in the column "Travel Info". You only get an error message, that the table
layout is too complex to process for Writer.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
