I cannot reproduce the problem with an RTF generated by MS Word. Please attach your sample file to this issue, so that we can see what's going on with this one. Feel free to re-open the issue when you have done so. Thanks for supporting us! Created attachment 14559 [details]

issue reopened. MRU->MMAHER: There's a section break with a different page layout, but the paper size remains a User defined format. Writer's import seems to ignore that and uses A4 for page 2. according to the announcement on releases (http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=releases&msgNo=7503) this issue will be re-targeted to OOo Later. mmaher->flr: Your's methinks reassigning to hbrinkm Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
