I installed OpenOffice 641C as root, and it will run fine
when I login as root. But if I try to run it as any other
user it just crashes.

Is there any way to make it workable as a multi-user app?
Maybe edit the "soffice" shell script, change the permissions
to a directory, something?

This belongs in the installation, not porting project, but anyways -

if you want to install as one user (say root) but have the
installation usable by multiple users, you have to use the -net option
to the setup program

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
