When you add new formula into text document, try to close major window. Office
crashed.

I cannot reproduce this. Neither in OpenOffice 641 C nor in the 
current version.

Please be more detailed what needs to be done.
For example:
Have you saved the doument before inserting the formula?
Was the command box window in floating mode or docked?
What option (Save/Discard/Cancel) did you select when you closed the 
main (Writer) window?

I cannot reproduce the problem either. In all cases (closed with or
without saving) I didn´t retrieve a crash.

Closed, because noone here can reproduce the crash.
