Description oc 2004-01-26 10:05:03 UTC
Give some cells the unprotected attribute (FORMAT-CELLS-CELL PROTECTION) and
protect the sheet (TOOLS-PROTECT DOCUMENT-SHEET). If you now try to do a search
and replace you will get a errormessage.
As discussed with FT and BH it should be possible that the replace will be
possible for the unprotected part of the sheet.

This is still true in 1.1.4 & 1.9.65.

Would think that the expected behavior should be that unproctected cells on a
protected sheet could be changed via find & replace, especially since they can
be changed by hand.

Changed component to Editing.

... and still with OOo-2.2-RC3...

This works in Excel2000.

This is still the case in 3.1. To allow people to make changes where necessary,
I have to tell them to un-protect the sheet do the finds & replacements, then
re-protect the sheet. Which is really giving people access to the sheet that
they shouldn't have.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
