Document demonstrating kerning problem in OOo2.4 writer and math
The issue can still be found in OOo2.4 as you can verify by opening the attached document. The problem is not only found in normal text but even worse in OOo-Math. This is shown in the second attached document. For italic fonts, the big spacing between a letter in normal position and a subscript looks terrible and the reader will not recognize them as a unit. In scientific papers you can find many of such expressions. The bad looking of those OOo-documents is a true know-out criterion for OOo compared to MS Office. Hey, as you may guess I meant "knock-out criterion" To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
