The same presentation created in 1.0 and opened in 1.1 exhibits slightly
different spacing between the text and the box behind it.

I can't reproduce the bug but it sounds like a known bug which will be fixed in
OOo 1.1.1

Please tell me if this Workaround correct the spacings:

select 'Use printer metrics for document formating' in
'Tools/Options/Presentation/General/Compatibility'
