I believe that this issue is reproducible for you. I've never expirienced such a
behaviour.
We need more info about your system. Please give also a etailed step by
step description of your installation. It would also be helpfull to have the content
of the crash reporter. Please copy this content to a text file and attach it to this
issue.

Good Day...

I am unable to comply with all your request. Unfortunately, I needed
the app quickly so I re-installed my OS and reloaded OO. This install
was unremarkable. Time was not on my side. If the 'crash reporter' is
stored elsewhere other than the app's location then advise me and I
will send you a copy.

Also during the initial installed crashes, I sent a few of the
automated crash reports to your org. They were sent about 15 - 30
minutes before my first issue report. These may assist you. They are
from the e-mail address from my account.

The info you requested (before the new install). I renamed the user OO
config file and I downloaded a new copy of the app and after opening
the tar I started the install with ./install --prefix=/opt. The files
appeared to install properly until the final(?) step when the error
message appeared.

During the initial crashes, the automated bug reporter displayed
behind where the splash screen should have been. The splash screen was
not visible but the outline of the splash covered the crash reporter.
It looked weird. The outline of the splash screen was the desktop's
background. The shape was there but no splash screen. It is like the
holder for the graphic splash screen was in place but it was not
populated with anything. Strange!

I can't reproduce.
