Description Unknown 2001-11-14 18:29:34 UTC
On several Windows2000 systems SP2 with a 3D-CAD system (IDEAS or SolidDesigner)
the computer immediately restarts when starting OpenOffice (Version 5.2 to
638 version). Vice versa running Office and starting CAD system leads to
an crash/restart. (it seems to be on file access because in this case it crashes
on just opening the "open file" dialog. otherwise the file access will be
probably automatical when opening program parts.)
You can shortly see a message: Page fault at ... in 'win32k.sys'. Then the
computer will restart automatically.

First, the mentioned problem should be tried to be reproduced using a new actual 641 which will be available soon. Then a
possible reason for this problem can be old or invallid graphic-card drivers. So it would be helpful to renew them.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
