document to reproduce described problem
just change the "Anordnung" (Arrange) of the chart to "Ganz nach hinten" (send to back) and this of the grouped legends to "Ganz nach vorn" (Bring to front) you can edit the group without moving the charts. this is just an arrangement problem. you have to move the chart once to make this arrangement. set to invalid, because this is just a problem of object arrangement. not a bug. invalid -> closed But this does not make sense! If I can see the object, I think it is placed over the other one, so that I can edit/move it!!! I hope we can find better solution for user to do that, instead of confusing steps. reassigend to jw i will talk to a developer on this issue. sorry for my late reply, i did not reassign this issue to me at the first time, so i did not see that you reopend it Can confirm this, set to new, to have it off the untouched issues list. A workaround for the time being: Reduce the size of the chart so that the legends are outside the chart borders. Now edit, and change chart size back to original. set target to OOo later, just set as default, this the target could change first i don't think this will be made to OOo 2.0 if it will be fixed. second to edit the legends just select the whole chart type the tab key -> the legend group is selected, rightclick on it and select group -> edit group, now the members of the group are editable by doubleclicking on them. changed issuetype to enhancement. this is not realy a bug, after talking to the developer responcible for this we agree that this is an enhancementwish changing summery to enhancement: enable the possebility to select objects behind other objects by doubleclicking on the position of the background object reassigend to the owner of enhancementissues .
