Description bigserpent 2003-10-31 08:44:06 UTC
Russian text, saved as Artistic Text *.pdb in OO 1.1 is impossible to be read in
Palm. Palm OS 4.0. Palm is capable of reading Russian texts itself.
They say, OO produces UTF codepage text at Palm export instead of correct one.

JA->Martin: could you please have a look at this ? Reassigned to you.
Does pdb support iso8859-2 locales ? As far as I read the pdb file
format spec they just support iso8859-1...
Comment 2 bigserpent 2004-01-08 15:40:53 UTC
Palm Zire with Cyrillic support installed understands Cyrillic texts produced by
PDAConverter. And it refuses to understand the text produced by OO (at least 680
M17).

Hi everybody,

I can confirm this, something is wrong here. PDFs created by OOo 1.1 can be rad
by Acrobat Reader 6 on Win98/XP, but when I try to convert them for Palm using
Adobe Reader for Palm 3, it says "error, bad page contents". It is rare, because
on the PC I can read the PDF, just not on the PALM...

I am not a programmer, so I do not know what to do.

Any good news, let me know.

Good luck,

Samy
