Description duckworth 2003-10-30 15:04:34 UTC
OpenOffice.org1.1.0
* Create a file (test-1.sxw) containing a numbered list (I made one containing a
list of 3 items, 3 bullets, and another bulleted list of 3 items)
1. a
2. b
3. c
* Copy test-1.sxw to test-2.sxw and test-3.sxw
* Create a master document containing all three documents
* The list numbering in one document is incorrect:
  1,2,3 ; 1,2,3; 4,5,6
(4,5,6 is incorrect)

(This is not good when you have a 200 page document). Sometimes a "update
section" makes the lists number themselves correctly. It seems that the error can
shift between documents (a race condition). I suspect that the lists are given the
same name in different documents. A possibly related problem is that bullets
can change into numbered lists spontaneously in the master document.

Hi hb,

I think this is something for you...

I tried this on Solaris and there were some versions of numbering through the
masterdocument...
I made a small document with numbering and bullets and copied it to 3 files
(1.sxw, 2.sxw, 3.sxw):
1. a
2. b
3. c
*  d
*  e
*  f

example:
after "update all" I got:
1. a
2. b
3. c
*  d
*  e
*  f
4. a
5. b
6. c
*  d
*  e
*  f
1. a
2. b
3. c
*  d
*  e
*  f

If this isn't anything for you, please dispatch, thanks...
