Description Unknown 2001-11-04 04:15:21 UTC
OpenOffice locks up every time I attempt to open a MS Power Point file that I
have on my system. Star Office 5.2 will open the same file with no problems.

I don't know how you are going to reproduce this unless you send me E-mail so I
can forward you the offending file.

To reproduce this, just try to open the file.
Click <File>
Choose <Open>
Select the file in the dialog box
Select the [OPEN] button in the file dialog box.

This occures if I assign a file type MS PowerPoint or if I just leave the file
type as "ALL"

When I attempt to open the file a progress bar opens and progresses about 80% of
the way across the bottom of the screen, then the application locks up. It does
not crash or cause a core dump so I can not include a core report.

My system is:
1Ghz Athlon
256 Mb PC 133 SDRAM
Linux Kernel 2.2.16-22
RedHat 7.0
Ximian Gnome Desktop (Sorry I can't tell you what version, but I just downloaded
and installed the most current version about a month ago.)

Forget the part about sending E-mail so I can forward the file. It
found out how to attach it.
