I've tried with the downloaded version from http://ftp.stardiv.de/pub/OpenOffice.org/stable/1.1.0/OOo_1.1.0_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz onMandrake 8.2. Installation as root with parameter -net runs without errors, setup.log is ok. Logged in as user and started setup in /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1.0, no errors, setup.log is also ok. I can't reproduce. Have you checksummed your downloaded file? In the mailing lists are some servers mentioned, that provide download files with different checksummes, which means that these files are damaged. If it's not to much efford, please retry a download at the ftp server I have used. of -> jl: Do you have any idea and can help out here? Used tar ball suggested above. Also, removed old install of OO1.01 before installing OO1.1 (previously I had simply overwriten). Completed ./setup -net. OO is working fine now. Thank you. Overwriting OOo 1.0.x with 1.1.0 is not a good idea. 1.1.0 has an update feature. Thanx for using OOo. |
