Product: Writer Reporter: simonbr

Severity: Trivial

Version: OOo 1.1 RC4

Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Issue Type: DEFECT Latest Confirmation in: ---
Developer Difficulty: ---

Description simonbr 2003-09-25 08:58:49 UTC
How to reproduce:

1) Open a new Writer document.
2) long-click on the insert icon on the main toolbar.
3) on the foldout toolbar, move the mouse over the insert table icon.
4) after the drop-down table size selection area has appeared, click on the
icon (not in the selection area).
5) the text cursor in the document has disappeared.

There appear to be several ways to get the cursor back, e.g. by inserting a
table via the dialog (but not by using the intended method using the table size
selection area), or by "saving as". But the user may not immediately discover
this.

According to the OpenOffice.org roadmap
(http://tools.openoffice.org/releases) this issue was retargeted to
OOo Later.

Select another application and set the focus back to OOo and you'll
get your cursor again is another wordaround.
