reassigned to bh . I think now the page style confusion can be cleared to a great extent by defining and naming some of them differently: All non-default styles should be followed by default, i.e. should be valid for one page only. The present left and right pages should be renamed "Force left page" and "Force right page" (or something along these lines). In a style named "Alternating pages" left pages should be followed by right pages and vice versa. For the purposes of a book, it should start with an odd-numbered right page; I don't quite know what to do if something else is required -- actually, I would expect the user to build their custom styles, if necessary. The Insert|Manual break menu is superfluous and another source of confusion, if not, its function should at least be hidden from the user (it doesn't give any options that aren't also in the Stylist, and for the naive user ctrl-enter IS a manual page break) (but this concerns issue 16877). *** Issue 78274 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
