1. Choose File/Open...
2. Type for example "ftp://ftp.sunet.se/" in the File name field. Press enter
3. Directory listing is shown. Symbolic links are shown as 4 bytes long files.
4. Double-clicking the link gives an "Cannot open file" error instead of following
   the link.

Confirmed using OOo 1.1.0, compiled from source, running on Gentoo Linux.

Currently it's not very probable that this issue will be fixed for OOo2.0.
