I'm not sure if I have installed RC2 or RC3 but it's impossible to see in the UI.
The title in the application says "OpenOffice.org 1.1.0"
The about dialog says "OpenOffice.org 1.1.0"

The about screen should say exactly which version is running ala "OpenOffice.org
1.1.0 RC3"

This functionality is included albeit not in an obvious way: Go to
Help - About.
Press Ctrl + S D T (i.e. hold CTRL, press S, press D, press T, release
CTRL).
