reassigned and target set. I ran the scenario -o rdbtdp.RegistryTypeDescriptionProvider -o remotebridge.various as decribed in the bug, and could reproduce the behaviour. The office needs to be started to reproduce it. If the testharness starts the office-process the problem doesn't appear. The TypeDescriptionProvider is disposed, which makes the bridge unusable and a restart of the office neccessary, this can't be done, when the office is already running, since the harness has no access to the office process then. To avoid the crash let the harness take control of the office process, then it will be disposed and restarted after the XComponent test. I see no way to fix this beside not testing the XComponent-Interface anymore at this and all other implementations that might raise problems, so I set it to resolve-WONTFIX. Log of qa script until I gave up.
There are several failures in my testing. Reopenning issue and attaching log for your perusal. Is this my setup or common problems. I am using jdk 1.4.1. changed Target Ken: please check the "worksforme.sce" scenario contained in the updated package on qadevOOo and write separate issues for those testcases that still fail on your system. This worksforme-scenario contains all testcases that worked on my Linux/X86 machine without problems. Works for me, "Works for me". This is teh critical point of this issue.
