New spreadsheet, save as ColSelect
In A1 to A10, numbers 1 to 10
In c1 to c10 = formula =a1 to =a10
Record macro
Select entire column A
edit delete cells (gives error message)
Stop recording, save macro, edit undo:delete to restore column A.
Create button anchored to F1 and assign macro.  Design mode off.
Click button - edit undo
Error message ColSelect.gif
Select cell E6, click button - edit undo
Select cell c5, click button - edit undo
Select cell A3, click button - edit undo

Jupp, but first:

According to the OpenOffice.org roadmap
(http://tools.openoffice.org/releases) this issue was retargeted to
OOo Later.

Confirmed. Required parameters are missing in the macro. No cellrange
- no action.
