Description philipp.lohmann 2003-07-31 17:01:18 UTC
Example:
- create document
- export as PDF

This first creates a PDF file in the temp directory which is subsequently copied
to the intended location. If possible we should avoid this additional step and
instead create the file on the target location.

IMHO we should reorganize our strategy here completely, aligned with
our new backup/recovery strategy. In short words, alway write to the
target location, if there is a file already, create a backup before.

Comment 4 Mathias_Bauer 2004-08-13 09:21:49 UTC
This is only an optimization, but needs a lot of work. Open/StarOffice always
created such temporary files, so it's a regression risk to change that.
Comment 5 mikhail.voytenko 2007-01-02 15:28:14 UTC
Changing the target.
