Description jahnw 2003-07-23 21:36:39 UTC
Hello,

After installing (and having downloaded a new java 1.4.2 runtime environment)
OpenOffice 1.1 RC I had a problem to access the database. The installation
procedure detected a valid java installation, after entering the path of the
java installation.

The message is: No Java installation could be found. Please check your
installation!

But: Java was installed ...

Returncodes: Error Code: 1000
SQL-Error: S1000.

When I was trying it again immediately afterwards, I could establish a
connection to the database without any problems (with JDBC).

The problem occurs not at OpenOffive 1.0.2 and not at OpenOffice 1.1 (Beta). I
have not downloaded OpenOffice 1.1 Beta2 - only the Release Candidate - and
there it happens.

The database I am using is SAPDB, but the error occured also with mySQL.

Has anybody observed this error, too - how can I check, if I have installed the
java engine correctly after the OpenOffice installation?

Thank you very much,

Walter Jahn
