Description Unknown 2003-07-18 20:29:21 UTC
When I attempt to install on my Red Hat 7.2 system, kernel 2.4.20-18.7 (with
current set of up2date patches)
the install program dies with a relocation error.
The following is the shell dialogue:

   wsl120# ./install --prefix=/opt --interactive
Installation starting, please be patient ...
   glibc version: 2.2.4
   /tmp/sv001.tmp/setup.bin: relocation error: /tmp/sv001.tmp/libvcl645li.so:
undefined symbol: FT_Activate_Size

I see the same results without the --prefix and --interactive options,
and also while running the 'setup' program instead of 'install'.

It's fun these days doing the QA job. I don't know how many time I've
closed this issue as duplicate. Why not doing a query befor writing an
issue?

Having done some support jobs myself, I can sympathize.
I actually did several queries, and it did not find anything.
IssueZilla is OK for entering tickets, but Google it's not:
wading through a query form with 30 input fields just
to search for the phrase "undefined symbol" is why you get
dupe issues.
