Description swimazon 2003-07-17 03:10:32 UTC
I have sometimes noticed the behaviour of a textbox reversed from its usual
state.... that is, it keeps its aspect ratio without <shift>
Pressing <shift> allows separate adjustment of vertical and horizontal size.
I have made a small file to demonstrate this. How can I send it?

you can choose if the aspect ratio should be switched on or off by
default.
To switch on the aspect ratio by default you must change to
-> Tools/options/Presentation/Grid/Snap position
and select
-> When creating or moving objects.
now you can use the shift key to resize the object (textframe) without
aspect ratio.
When you deselect the option aspect ratio is deselected by default and
you must press the shift key to resize an object with aspect ratio.
I hope this helps.
