Description pezz 2003-07-14 09:32:33 UTC
In OOo source mozilla libraries are in precompiled form. Because they are compiled with gcc-3.0,
which is binary incompatible with newer compilers, it is difficult to change between different
compilers. There may be historical reasons why mozilla libraries are in precompiled form but
nowadays that other bigger components like STLport, freetype, icu and python are also compiled
from source instead of prebuilt packages it would be very good if mozilla support would also come in
source form.
