Description Unknown 2001-09-05 09:43:04 UTC
After a unrecoverable error in startwriter, the document can't be opened again.

To not be able to open a previous document is very serious, is there a tool that
can
show the error in the file and then correct it?

This has happend on both Solaris and Linux versions of 6.38 and Staroffice 5.2
so there
is something strange!

This vague description looks like "not reproducible" so far. In general, file recovery used to
work in SO5.2 so there is some more description needed to sort out what happene with your OO.

You are right when saying that file recovery is important and we know this as well as we know
that it gets dark after sunset ;-)

Make it reproducible somehow (with a step-by-step description or with a file). Otherwise it must
be closed.

Please comment. Thank you.

The submitter told me in a direct mail that the file already made its way to the developer and that he said this problem will be fixed in
the next build.
I wonder how this could happen without being mentioned here, but fixed is fixed...
